🔹 How Does Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) Work?
SPE is a technique used to isolate, concentrate, and purify analytes from a liquid sample before instrumental analysis. It operates through the following steps:

 

1️⃣ Conditioning: The solid phase is activated with an appropriate solvent to enhance analyte retention.
2️⃣ Sample Loading: The sample passes through the column, where the compounds of interest are retained on the solid phase.
3️⃣ Washing: Impurities and contaminants are removed without affecting the retained analytes.
4️⃣ Elution: The analytes are released from the solid phase using a suitable solvent for analysis in HPLC, GC, or other instrumental techniques.
